Beatles on iTunes: 450,000 albums, 2 million singles in first week

Who isn't a Beatles fan? Well, to be honest, I can't say we are "fans" persay, not fans like we are MJ fans where we can list every one of his albums and give a brief history of his mark in the music world, but hey, I guess to be cool everyone's gotta like the Beatles in order to at least sound "cultured". Apparently that is the case.

You would think, in the information super highway Beatles fans, i.e. the world, would have gotten every song they ever wanted one way or another on their computers, phones, mp3 players, ipods, ipads and whatever else there is nowadays, but I guess not; since Apple's announcement, 450,000 Beatles albums and 2 million individual tracks were downloaded during the first week they went up on itunes. That means about $8 million buckaroos, which doesn't include the digital box set that iTunes has for $149. To be honest, I never even knew the Beatles weren't available on iTunes. I wonder, why did it take so long? What is that all about?

  1. The Beatles music took so long to get on iTunes because it was owned by Michael jackson. He bought all the rights to their music.if anyone sampled the beatles they would have to pay wacko jacko a heavy fee. In fact, Paul mccartney asked if he could buy the rights since he contributed so much to their music but mj refused. Fortunately for beatles fans his death ended his insane riegn over the rights to the entire beatles catalogue. Now it's in better hands and on iTunes. He was a great performer back in the day but fame turned him into a lunatic. Just look at the footage of him dangling the baby off a balcony!
