Discovered on Flickr, the photos of British photography student Dan Mountford have been floating around the internet since January of this year. While everyone agrees they are cool photos, fubiz.net was right to state Mountford is showing us "the extent of his talent," as it is obvious he could further grasp the intricacy behind content selection in a medium seeking to capture and re-present life. Somewhere in a photograph, we hope to see the soul. Double exposure is a technique often used to create ghostly and haunting images, as if the photographer was able to capture the subject's ethereal essence. When used by a skilled artist with a keen eye such as Mountford, it will certainly deliver an intriguing photograph. It's also been used to create hoaxes.
Either way, we the viewers, the subject's fellow and brother, need to trust it. Do you see yourself?
