
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video is being officially inducted into the U.S. National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, making it the first music video to ever be included in the registry. Initially released as a motion picture on 35mm film and played extensively on TV and the web ever since its release, the Library of Congress hailed the video as a lavish production that "revolutionized the music industry".
