We took a trip to the theater for the premier of THIS IS IT. It was an emotional experience for all of us and a final realization that MJ is actually gone. We grew up as true Fans through his rise and his fall, supporters through his troubled times and believers in his innocence when most turned against him.
I can vividly remember sitting in my basement in my single digit age watching the release of "The Way You Make Me Feel" or the stir of emotion viewing "Man in the Mirror". Wow. We can't believe he's gone. Watching the clips of what would have been a monumental concert series we couldn't help but to notice, (aside from the obvious, that this man surpasses the mere word "talented") he is one hell of a human being. The way he speaks to people, his mannerism in influences those of the younger generation, to his constant well wishing of everyone that he engages in conversation with.
This man had it figured out despite the constant criticism he got as a bizarre human being. We knew MJ could sing flawlessly, dance effortlessly with his every movement syncing with perfection to his every melody, but we got the chance to know MJ intimately watching THIS IS IT. He is a man of indescribable character with respect for every human being he encounters. Perhaps he has a better grasp on life than most people. And above all, this is what we walked away with after leaving the theater, in silence with our heads down full of sorrow.
To MJ - you inspired us to be unique, to stand out from the masses and to always believe in what you aspire to be and we conclude with one certainty: A True Legend Never Dies, and you will live with each passing moment for us as we continue to share our passion with the world.
